My Rushmore are a three-piece emo band from Scotland. Originating in Glasgow, the band started in late 2022 over a mutual love of late second wave and early fourth wave emo bands, taking inspiration from the likes of The Get Up Kids, Braid, Camping in Alaska and Marietta. My Rushmore utilises a fourth wave sound with an alternative tuning and twinkly guitars, while also sticking to strong second wave sensibility through their vocals and lyricism. The band is built on the pillars of a strong ‘DIY’ scene in the UK, playing shows in their hometown of Glasgow as well as the Dundee, Birmingham, Newcastle and London scenes respectively.
