The love for singing and inspiring has always been there. Singing in church, for her family or the entire local town, Tidaholm, was all part of My Kullsvik’s childhood. It was first when she released her Swedish cover of Adele’s song “Hello” at the start of 2016 that her name spread across Sweden. A viral hit with over 600.000 hits lead to hundreds of gigs all over Sweden. She’s been touring around the country singing on weddings, festivals and other venues ever since.

At the end of 2017 she was met with the news of a tumor in her right ear, leaving her with close to no hearing on that side. This created difficulties in her profession but also pushed her to start working on her first original song. During the months to come she sat down in the studio together with producer Blund and songwriters Beatrice Jaksch, Gabriel Pettersson & Jakob Ödman to work on her debut single “Stranger”. A song that became her pillar of hope during the tough time of learning to cope with her condition. With the goal to inspire others to fight through their own difficulties she sings about and not letting it get the best of her.
