Berry Moore Jr. (born October 13, 1989), better known as MVP, is an American MC and battle rapper from St. Louis, Missouri. Starting his battle career in 2013 on Bragging Rights Battle League under the name MVPGO, he would later become one of the breakout stars of his hometown league STL Street Report throughout 2016 and 2017. Known for his high energy, vocal projection, and rapid-fire punchlines, MVP’s performances on STL Street Report led to him getting booked on more prominent leagues beginning in 2019, such as Street Status, The Connects, and Rare Breed Entertainment.
In 2020, Street Status league owner Owe chose MVP as one of his 12 picks for The Crucible, URL’s latest talent development program. MVP would go on to impress judges and battle analysts with his intensity and stage presence in the competition. In April 2021, he advanced to Phase 3 as one of the remaining 16 MCs competing for one of six spots in URL’s Rookies vs. Vets 3 and moving one step closer to the program’s $10,000 grand prize. However, just three months later, in July 2021, he entered in the fourth season of URL’s Ultimate Madness tournament series. MVP advanced all the way to the finals to open up for Summer Madness 11 on September 25, 2021 in Houston, Texas, placing as the runner-up to Real Name Brandon, who won the $25,000 grand prize.
