About Muphin

Dan Young is an Australian rapper from Melbourne who started out as a battle rapper. After winning the 2001 Victorian Verbal Mechanics Competition, Young pursued in a “bigger vision” as an artist.

Muphin worked hard in the studio from 1996 to 1999 putting together 4 demo albums that helped him to refine his craft. Releasing a debut in 1999, “Who I Am”, then in 2000 with his group “Puah Hedz” with brother Draino and next door neighbour Osinaka. DJ FX from Frankston completed the crew.

Muphin is one-half of the group Muph & Plutonic, along with Plutonic Lab. The group has released three studio albums and makes up half of the touring crew Milk Bar Stars, along with Pegz and DJ Bonez.

In 2019 he released his first release in 11 years, “With A Grain Of Salt”.
