Modules Plus began in 2013 as any other bedroom producer, with founder Nick DeJohn inspired by a live set by an artist named Baths, and continues to be inspired by sleepless nights, boring aspects of life, and nostalgia. His room is slowly shrinking and he doesn’t know how to stop it.

Since then, the project has been worked on on and off, but it has recently resurfaced with a focus on live performance, incorporating Israel Haiglar as a vocalist, guitarist, and additional synth player, while Nick plays synths, live drums, and different noise makers over punchy Akai MPC drums. They use both gloomy and hopeful warm drum textures and nauseatingly detuned synthesizers. This project has always been an integral piece in Nick’s life, and will remain so when he finishes his training to recover the lost medallion and avenge his family. The next M+ EP will be their first as a duo.
