Linda Carlsson (born July 21, 1982), better known by her stage name Miss Li, is a Swedish singer and songwriter.
Carlsson has been a singer her whole life, exploring everything from rock to blues, jazz, metal, and even opera. In 2006 she transformed herself into Miss Li and started focusing on her career as a singer and songwriter.
She released her first single, “Oh Boy”, and the album “Late Night Heartbroken Blues” in November of 2006. Her earliest works drew on pop, jazz, polka, country and R&B, but she has since rooted in a theatrical cabaret, music hall pop style, with lyrics focused primarily on romantic and sexual escapades and a campily glorified hedonistic lifestyle.
Her latest album, “A Woman’s Guide to Survival”, was released in 2017. The majority of the tracks tell the story of the hardships of being a woman in our modern day society.
