From San Antonio, Texas, born on March 24th, 1997, Mina Myoui (名井南), known mononymously as MINA, is a Japanese singer and dancer, who is a part of girl group TWICE under JYP Entertainment.
Mina participated in the reality show SIXTEEN, which followed sixteen women auditioning to be a member of TWICE. Mina placed fourth in the competition, leading her to debut with TWICE near the end of 2015 with “OOH-AHH하게 (Like OOH-AHH)”.
In 2018, Mina went viral for a GIF of her crying. Many global fans admired Mina’s “diamond tears” when crying on stage. She also garnered popularity for her cover of Sia’s “Snowman”, where her soothing vocals are given a more forward showcase than her songs with a group.
