Mikey Freedom Hart, simply known as Mikey Hart, is an American Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, pianist, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer.
He has worked with some of the music industry’s biggest artists such as Taylor Swift, Porter Robinson, Jon Batiste, Travis Scott, Sabrina Carpenter, Don Toliver, Kali Uchis, and Florence + the Machine, among others.
Hart was, born and raised, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, where he attended Barbe High School, followed by McNeese State University. Hart learned how to play piano, at three years old, and grew up performing and singing, in church. He moved to New York, by the time, he was 16 years old.
In 2018, Hart co-wrote the song “Hope” by Dev Hynes, featuring Puff Daddy and Tei Shi. Hart added some additional production to Santigold’s single, “Banshee". Hart also co-produced and co-wrote Portugal the Man’s “Easy Tiger”. Since 2020, Hart has produced and written several songs for Taylor Swift.
Hart has also worked with other artists, such as Lana Del Rey, A$AP Rocky, Empress Of, The Chicks, and Emily Lind. Hart also tours and plays keyboard for bands, such as: Bleachers and Blood Orange.
Hart has also founded the psychedelic-soul band, Ex Reyes, in 2015, and performed, as well as, helped direct, the musical component, of Louis Vuitton Fall 2019 Menswear Fashion show, at Paris Fashion Week.
