Mike Portnoy

Mike Portnoy is a drummer best known as one of the co-founders and central figures of the progressive metal band Dream Theater. He left the band after Black Clouds and Silver Linings and has since been a drummer for many other acts, including Avenged Sevenfold, OSI, Transatlantic, Adrenaline Mob, and others.
