Michael Mogis (born May 16, 1974) is an American multi-instrumentalist, producer, and engineer who is most widely known for his involvement in Omaha’s Saddle Creek Records and ARC recording.
He has engineered, produced, and performed with
Bright Eyes, Monsters of Folk, The Faint, Rilo Kiley, Cursive, The Good Life, Lullaby for the Working Class, Jenny Lewis, Tilly and the Wall and Elizabeth & The Catapult, and others.
He is a long time member of the Bright Eyes band and was also in Lullaby for the Working Class and We’d Rather Be Flying. He plays guitar, mandolin, banjo, pedal steel, glockenspiel, and hammered dulcimer among other instruments.
