Mike Greene is an American composer, producer and engineer based in Los Angeles, California. He is the owner of the 38 Fresh recording studio in Hollywood, having recorded for artists including Cypress Hill, A.L.T., FunkDoobiest and David Bowie, and is also the founder of the musical virtual instrument company Realitone.
He is best-known for writing, recording and singing the iconic theme song for the educational children’s TV show Bill Nye the Science Guy, which he won an Emmy for in 2000. He also scored all episodes of the show.
Not to be confused with other Los Angeles-based engineers Michael James Greene (who has also worked in Salt Lake City, Utah) or Mike Green, who is best-known for producing for rock bands such as All Time Low, Pierce The Veil and Paramore.
