Midnight Kids started as a duo consistent of Kyle Girard and Dylan Jagger Lee, who instantly connected on a vision and sound they were both striving toward when they first met in 2016. Since then, they’ve been able to put their distinct, 80s-inspired spin on official remixes for The Chainsmokers, Gryffin, and A R I Z O N A, amongst others.
They didn’t just stick to the art of remixing, though: in June 2018, they released their first original track, “Find Our Way”. Since then, they have gone on to release five more original singles, of which three are part of their debut EP, The Lost Youth, released in May 2020.
But, in January 2021, Midnight Kids announced on a Twitter post that Dylan was going to pursue his own personal projects in music, leaving Kyle to continue as a solo artist by the name of Midnight Kids. After this, two songs were released by Girard, “Out of Time” in April 2021, and “Keep It Complicated” in March 2022.
In June 2023, Kyle announced through social media that a full-length album was going to be released soon, with the first single being “All Nighter” with Jack Newsome.
