Michelle Zauner

Michelle Chongmi Zauner (born March 29, 1989) is an American musician and author.

Zauner is the vocalist and songwriter of the indie rock band Japanese Breakfast, and also half of the synth pop duo BUMPER. As Japanese Breakfast, Zauner released their debut album Psychopomp in 2016, followed by Soft Sounds from Another Planet in 2017. In 2021, Zauner releases her critically acclaimed third studio album Jubilee and autobiography Crying in H Mart. Zauner also scored the soundtrack of the video game Sable in the same year.

Zauner was previously the lead singer and songwriter for the indie girls band Birthday Girlz and midwest emo band Little Big League.
