Mexico Huncho is a Northside, Atlanta based hip-hop recording artist from Smyrna. Known for his energetic delivery and charismatic persona, Mexico’s sound captures the true essence of modern day street hustle and elegant trap vibes.
His stage name derives from Mexican-African American descent. However, Mexico is often referred to as “Mr. Yella Store,” a neighborhood nickname bestowed upon him during his time making ends meet and hustling near the “Yellow” corner store on Pat Mell Road.
The self-made, multiple business owner has spent the last 3 years building his music catalog; transitioning to recording artist under the umbrella of his own label, Worldwide Dripp Entertainment, LLC.
Stage presence is one of Mexico’s key attributes, as he comes with high level energy and preparation each performance. In 2018, he was announced as winner of the Hot 107.9 “Who’s Hot,” showcase. Later, he released his debut project “Truckloads & Backends,” along with his first single “Outta Here,‘ which entered radio rotation premiering on Atlanta’s Hot 107.9 and Streetz 94.5 FM.
Mexico Huncho’s community involvement is nothing less than valiant. In 2018, he launched his annual community event “Mexico Loves the Kids,” a sponsored back-to-school drive which highlights unity and education over grilled food and dodgeball.
Last year Mexico’s momentum continued, as he premiered his single “Crazy Crazy,” at #1 live on Hot 107.9’s “The Durrty Boyz,” show with Stuey Rock. He also launched his clothing brand for Worldwide Dripp Ent. which is currently sold at his neighborhood store. He plans to take his music, brand and philanthropy to new heights in 2020.
“Mexico Season,” is Mexico Huncho’s latest album hosted by Ferrari Simmons, Music Director and media personality at Streetz 94.5 and the Baller Alert show.
