Tom Mundell – born on the 27th December 1986 is a British Drum and Bass artist currently signed to Hospital Records and has worked with a plethora of artists in the Drum and Bass scene from Netsky to Ayah Marar. He has released 3 Studio Albums, 10 Extended Plays (EP’s) and a plethora of singles
Tom got his start in Drum and Bass at the age of 21 in 2008 releasing his first double single “Strangers/Moving On” and quickly signed a deal with Viper Records and made a partnership with Futurebound They released a multitude of singles together including a remix of the Swedish House Mafia track “Save The World” however in 2013: Metrik signed with the London based record label: Hospital Records and released his debut album the next year titled “Universal Language” which came out to some mostly positive reviews.
In 2016: Metrik released his second album: LIFE/THRILLS which came out to mostly mixed reviews but later on has been appreciated as an album that is severely underrated and underappreciated. In 2017 S.P.Y released a remix of “We Got It” a song from LIFE/THRILLS which later became Metrik’s most streamed song on Spotify
In 2020, Metrik released a cinematic trailer for his 3rd Studio album: “Ex Machina” which came to positive reviews and featured his biggest solo songs “Gravity” and “Hackers” the album is considered a Drum and Bass “masterpiece” in the words of Metrik’s friend and frequent collaborator Grafix
Throughout 2023 he would release more Metal inspired singles “Immortal”, “Fall To The Dust” and “Awake” with his newest song “Abyss” preparing us for Ex Machina 2, only time will tell where Metrik will go from there
