Medekine is a Nu Metal/Alternative artist and multi-instrumental producer that believes ‘corny’ is a compliment. Revitalizing and upholding their own nerdy brand of attitude that was once lost; Medekine is the musical equivalent of starting up your favourite PS2 disc on a distorted CRT. The sounds of Medekine aim to evoke that never-diminishing feeling in your gut that comes with a healthy appreciation for aura-laden works of the millennium.

Filling in the gaps of the Nu Metal resurgence with a commercial punk inflexion while utilizing everything from industrial down-tuned riffs and tight, funky percussion to beachy laid-back acoustic rap rock and futuristic synth-infused breakbeats. Medekine is unafraid of embracing a sense of ‘in-your-face’ bombast paired with careful genre blending filled with melody and emotion. The compositional blueprint of Medekine’s music also draws from many other sources, including Y2K Pop, J-pop, K-pop, anime OSTs and VGM while often calling upon the present day experimentalism and digital-emotional nature of Hyper Pop and other aesthetic ‘core’ styles.
