MC Trouble, born LaTasha Sheron Rogers (July 30, 1970 – June 4, 1991), was the first female rapper signed to Motown Records. She released one album, the critically-acclaimed Gotta Get A Grip in 1990 featuring her Billboard Rap Top 20 lead single “(I Wanna) Make You Mine” with labelmates The Good Girls and its follow-up, the title track “Gotta Get A Grip.”
Tragically, while working on her second album, MC Trouble, a lifelong sufferer of epilepsy died in her sleep on June 4, 1991 of heart failure resulting from a seizure.
