About MC Fats

MC Fats, whose real name is Robert Anthony Fitzroy, was a legendary MC in the drum and bass community. Born in London, England in 1963, MC Fats began his music career in the 1980s as a reggae and soul DJ. He later transitioned into drum and bass, where he became known for his smooth, soulful vocals and his ability to hype up a crowd.

Throughout his career, MC Fats collaborated with some of the biggest names in drum and bass, including DJ Hype, Calibre, and E-Z Rollers. He was featured on numerous classic tracks, including “Peace, Love & Unity” with DJ Hype and “Brand New Funk” with Adam F. MC Fats' contributions to the drum and bass genre were instrumental in its development, and he remained an influential figure until his passing in 2023.

Despite his success, MC Fats remained humble and down-to-earth, and was loved by fans and colleagues alike for his positive attitude and warm personality. He will always be remembered as a true legend in the drum and bass community, and his music will continue to inspire future generations of artists.
