Mauro Giuliani

Mauro Giuliani (1781-1829) is best known for his guitar music, though he was also a cellist, violinist, and singer. Details of his early life and career are obscure, but he arrived in Vienna in 1801, where he found favor as a guitar virtuoso. During a trip to Naples to visit his ill father, the composer himself fell ill and died.
