MAURO is a singer, songwriter, musician, producer, performer, actor, poet, author, and much more. He is considered “a unique international artist and multi-talent.” MAURO is known for his chameleon tendencies, powerful vocals, magical performances, and impressive word painting within his music.

MAURO asserted his stance on his artistry:

Being an artist, among many other things, means to me the creation of something that expresses the human condition.

Born in Bolivia, MAURO began creating in the arts at the age of four, initially artworks and later plays and characters. He self-published his tales and poems, earning first places. In his childhood, MAURO performed at cultural and popular venues. He made his TV debut, acted in theater, and won a prize at the English Song Festival.

After composing his first album Just Songs at 10 years old, the self-taught child artist rose to fame in 2007 with his independent, self-written studio album, Living With Music. Commended by his hometown’s department of culture, he presented the record at the mayor’s office. MAURO was featured in the press of his country’s largest city.

In his teens, MAURO performed his projects, The Human Pain and Nobody’s Home, on the business fair’s international stage. He made a custom TV jingle and created independent short films. He wrote books and his future discography. His artwork was exhibited at the local School of Fine Arts. MAURO produced his project Illuminate My Existence and his EP Heart & Soul.

Then, his independent singles “Dance With Me,” “Beauty Of Your Soul,” and “Making Love 2 U” were selected and played on radio stations from North America to New Zealand. “Dance With Me” and “Making Love 2 U hit #1 on the talent platform and radio charts alongside the likes of Taylor Swift.

Subsequent to his track “Be Myself,” MAURO was chosen with his hymn “Chain Our Hearts” for the event Musicians For Peace. Named one of the Best Pop Hits of 2017, his single “Dubstep Heart” reached the Beat100 audio charts at #1 on Pop, #3 on Originals, #4 on World, and #6 on Dance.

Credited with having the whole entertainment package, the independent artist has earned international praise from celebrity journalists to media personalities. MAURO has received positive reviews and has been featured on The Huffington Post, The Hollywood Times, CelebMix, AXS, Celebrity Haute Spot, and The Playlist, airing in the United States on television, to name a few.

MAURO has put on main-stage performances on TV shows, in coliseums, and in houses of culture, among others. He has starred in musical theater with Jesus Christ Superstar. Following his self-penned songbook of 200+ works, MAURO received applause for his rendition of his song “The End” in 2024.
