Matching Mole was Robert Wyatt’s band following his departure from Soft Machine.
The band name is a play on words – “Machine Molle” is French for Soft Machine. The band consisted of seasoned Canterbury musicians.
The band released two LPs before drummer Robert Wyatt was crippled from the waist down, rendering him incapable of playing drums.
