Mary Steenburgen is an American actress best known for her portrayal as Diana Boyle in Last Vegas (2013). She began her acting career back in 1978 when she landed a lead role in Goin' South. Even though this was her first film, it was also her big breakthrough in the acting career. After the breakthrough, she would go on to be the lead role in multiple films like Time After Time (1979), Cross Creek (1983), and Romantic Comedy (1983).
After being the lead role in multiple movies, Steenburgen appeared as the Little Red Riding Hood in the 1982 TV show Faerie Tale Theatre. After the TV appearance, she would appear on a TV-mini series Tender Is the Night (1985).
Mary would persist as to be one of the most celebrated actresses as she continues to be the star in movies like One Magic Christmas (1985), Miss Firecracker (1989), Parenthood (1989), and Back to the Future Part III (1990).
After another breakthrough in Back to the Future Part III, she reprised her role in the animated series Back to the Future (1991). She would go on to act for more than two decades — nearly three — in movies and TV shows from It Runs in the Family (1994), Nixon (1995), Ink (1996 — 1997), About Sarah (1998) to Wish You Were Dead (2001), Elf (2003), Dean (2016), and Happiest Season (2020).
In her latest debut performance, Mary plays Maggie in the Emmy-winning Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. The show first aired on January 7, 2020, and was renewed for a second season on June 11, 2020.
