Marshmello, YUNGBLUD, and blackbear joined forces for November 2019’s “Tongue Tied,” which was followed by a remix EP in January 2020. YUNGBLUD explained during a Twitter Q&A that the three artists admired each other’s music and had been wanting to collaborate.

In September 2017, over two years before “Tongue Tied,” Marshmello and blackbear teased a collaboration called “Paparazzi,” which never saw an official release.
