19-year-old artist from Moscow began her career by writing poems. As soon as Alina learned to read and write, poems began to emerge from under the pencil, which intertwined with music when the girl was 15 y.o. Since that, little has changed: the words are still in the first place for MARKINA, and the musical accompaniment frames them and helps to better understand the meaning of the poems. The poetry of the artist was influenced by such Russian poets as Boris Ryzhiy and Joseph Brodsky. Alina grew up in a musical and cheerful atmosphere: her grandfather wrote original songs, which reached Alina mixed with the music of the Rolling Stones.

Now the artist is looking for different musical forms for herself: the debut album “Ребячество” was a pen test, in which you can hear Alina’s first steps in Ableton; EP “Иногда мне так" consists of two opposing songs, and in the single “Тот врет” you can hear a playful recitative that tries to answer the question “Who am I?”
We can only guess, what the next MARKINA’s music will be like. The young artist grows up as well as her music.
