Mark Spoon

Markus Löffel, better known as Mark Spoon, was a German producer and DJ.

Together with his production partner Rolf Ellmer (Jam El Mar), he released music under several monikers, including the worldwide renowned electronic music duo Jam & Spoon, Tokyo Ghetto Pussy and Storm (Stormjunkie).

The production duo Ellmer/Löffel were at the forefront of european electronic music since the early 90s. Today they are considered pioneers within Trance and Techno music as their work has inspired several producers of the modern generation.

Markus Löffel died of a heart attack in his Berlin flat, on 11 January 2006. He was 39 years old.
