Born at the end of the 1980s a few steps away from the French capital Paris, Marie-Flore revealed all the facets of a musical career from an early age. Named Marie-Flore after a Joan Baez song, the young Frenchwoman was brought up by a father who was passionate about writing and a mother who did not count her hours in a choir. Very early on, Marie-Flore entered the Conservatoire. She was introduced to the violin (her brother already played the instrument) and tried to perfect her mastery of the instrument for nearly eight years.
Like many artists, Marie-Flore really started her singing career by recording EPs. The first one was released in 2009. Entitled “More Than Thirty Seconds If You Please”, it was logically exclusively in English. Four years later, the Frenchwoman repeated the experience with the EP “By The Dozen”. We had to wait three more years and the release of the EP “Passade digitale” to hear Marie-Flore propose a first musical project in her native language. In the meantime, the singer of the song “Palmier en hiver” had fun opening for Pete Doherty.
Satisfied with her first EP in French, Marie-Flore has officially turned her back on the language of Shakespeare and worked her first album based on the semantic richness of the language of Molière. In 2019, the album “Braquage” was officially released by the singer, who was then presented as a musical revelation (despite her ten-year career). Many people discovered an artist with a certain talent for punchlines (it is not surprising to learn that she could have envisaged a career in politics) and capable of delivering strong, even crude lyrics.
