Marcy Playground is an American alternative rock band from Minneapolis, MN, consisting of three members: John Wozniak, Dylan Keefe, and Shlomi Lavie. The band is best known for their 1997 hit “Sex and Candy”. The band is named after the Marcy Open grade school in Minneapolis, which is the alternative school John Wozniak attended.[1] He chose the name because many of his songs were inspired by his childhood.
