Manuel Ponce

One of Mexico’s most feted composers, Manuel María Ponce Cuéllar (1882-1948) was a child prodigy who received instruction in Italy, Germany, and Cuba. He is most famous for his vocal music and guitar music, which brought traditional Mexican forms into the 20th century.
