Mainframe

Jon Ancheta, better known by his stage name Mainframe, is an American producer best known as part of of the hip-hop duo Johnson&Johnson, together with rapper Blu, with whom he has also created the record label NewWorldColor.

Mainframe’s best-known work outside Johnson&Johnson is the song “Need Another Drink” by Danny Brown. Matter of fact, Mainframe helped Danny by producing a lot of songs off It’s a art, an often overlooked project by Brown.

He has also worked with J Dilla, including A&R for the Jay Stay Paid album of 2009 and co-founding with the late producer a company called All I.D. (Dilla backwards). Mainframe’s first record label was Sound In Color.
