Magnus Brandt, formerly “Mag” is a British artist originally from Bristol, relocating to London. Initially beatmaking to curate his own rap music sound as a 15-year-old, inspired by J Dilla, Madlib, and other Hip-Hop leftfield legends, Brandt has maintained the method of sculpting his own style and technique of production to bring his music to life. The music of Mag (2017-21) goes from one sound to another, showcasing his dynamic range of expression. USA: an optimistic rap hit. Ego: an experimental, folk-like, deeply personal journey into healing. Assault: indie lockdown music. The name change Magnus Brandt signifies Jungian integration of the whole, combining all of the past experiments into something brave and new.

At the end of 2021 Magnus joined Sewerbratz; Rosesleeves' indie collective.
