The deep, soulful tones of Lungelo Moyo are well-known to Pretorians as the lead singer of band “Lungelo and the Moy’Os”. With a plethora of genres in his arsenal, the Johannesburg-born singer of Zimbabwean descent has mired himself in Pretoria’s musical culture.

An alumnus of the Tuks Camerata Choir, Lungelo draws inspiration from artists including Johnny Cash, Oliver Mtukudzi and Serj Tankian which has only better armed him for sharing the stage with acts including Fokofpolisiekar, Desmond and The Tutus, and The Muffins.

Having opened for The Soil, Prime Circle, and Francois Van Coke, amongst others, his performance ability is undisputed, and it is with this prodigious vocal ability – guitar in-hand – that Moyo weaves music to enthrall all in his spell.
