Lucifer is a band formed in Berlin in 2014 by its frontwoman Johanna Sadonis. Johanna took inspiration from her previous band, The Oath, that ended when she broke up with guitarist Linnéa Olson.
Lucifer was first composed by Gaz Jennings, Dino Gollnick and Andy Prestige. Jennings and Prestige ended up leaving the band, and Johanna met with her now-husband Nicke Andersson, and they started writing a lot of songs. Throughout their career, the line-up changed some times, but now it consists of Johanna as singer, Nicke Andersson on drums, Martin Nordin and Linus Björklund as guitarists and Harald Göthblad on bass.
