Louise Lightner Post (born December 7, 1966), best known as Louise Post, is an American musician.

She is best known for being the lead vocalist, writer and guitarist of American alternative rock band Veruca Salt, which she co-founded with Nina Gordon in 1992.

The band has released 5 studio albums and 4 EPs together, the last being the 2015 LP Ghost Notes. Veruca Salt, as of 2022, is on an amicable hiatus, per Post while she focuses on her individual career.

She is also well-known as the background vocal on Foo Fighter’s most famous single, ‘Everlong’, written by former boyfriend and lead singer or the band, Dave Grohl, about her and their relationship at the time.

Post has also released her first solo outing, the self-released EP, But I Love You Without Mascara (Demos ’97​-​’98), comprised of demos from late 1997 and early 1998, on 29th June, 2022.

She will be releasing her first solo LP in 2023.
