Lope Félix de Vega y Carpio (1562-1635) is a giant of Spanish literature, second only to his contemporary Miguel de Cervantes. After failed early efforts to become a priest and a stint in the Spanish navy, he started work in the theater in Madrid. The astonishing range of subject matter in his plays has earned him comparisons to Shakespeare.
Lope de Vega's first song Soliloquio I released on Thu Jan 01 1970.
