About Lojay

Lekan Osifeso Junior (born 28 April 1996) is a Nigerian musician and songwriter better known by his stage name as Lojay.

Lojay was initially motivated to only write songs, but he subsequently became interested in music. He started his musical career in 2016 and worked on honing his songwriting abilities for almost three years before releasing his debut single, “Ariel,” in 2019. In 2020, he continued to increase his momentum with his second single, “Ogogoro,” even though it didn’t receive that much attention.

On June 4, 2021, Lojay and Sarz released their collaborative EP, LV N ATTN. Tracks like “Monalisa” helped Lojay make a name for himself when it gained popularity on streaming services after becoming viral on TikTok. Following the popularity of “Monalisa,” Lojay intended to release a remix version. Although it took some time to find a featured guest for the remix version, he eventually decided on Chris Brown because he floated so freely on Afrobeats and they felt like he was one of the people who could take it to a whole new level and still maintain the same essence.
