Christopher Charles Lloyd (born April 30th, 1982), also known by his stage names: Lloyd Banks, the Punch Line King (P.L.K), and The Mixtape Champion is a rapper from New York City, Queens. Banks' rap career was established in the early ‘90s with the formation of G-Unit: a rap group led by 50 Cent which dominated the industry in the mid-2000s.
Throughout his career, Banks has collaborated with artists such as Eminem, 50 Cent, Rakim, Raekwon, Jadakiss, and Kanye West who ranks Banks in his top 5 list. Banks has 6 studio albums and sixteen mixtapes under his belt as a solo artist, achieving platinum certifications by the RIAA.
Banks' early 2000’s musical style exhibited braggadocios elements and revolved around ghetto struggle/gang themes; expressed with a heavy-hitting punchline delivery. As Banks matured as an artist and had children, his content and structural complexity evolved. Since 2021, Banks has released 3 studio albums as part of his most recent ‘The Course of the Inevitable’ series.
Since leaving G-Unit in 2018, Banks established himself as an independent artist who continues to create music on his own terms.
