Formed in York, Pennsylvania in 1989, alternative rock band Live consists of vocalist Ed Kowalczyk, guitarist Chad Taylor, bassist Patrick Dahlheimer, and drummer Chad Gracey.
Forming under multiple names during their middle school years in the early ‘80’s, Live strived for stardom at a slow pace. It wasn’t until 1994 that Throwing Copper provided Live with worldwide success. After that, many charting albums were released, but none matched the success of Throwing Copper.
In 2009, lead singer Ed Kowalczyk left Live to pursue a solo career. From there, Live took a hiatus until 2012, when the band reformed with new vocalist Chris Shinn. This lasted for four years until Kowalczyk returned.
