Lisa Velez aka “Lisa Lisa” is a singer, best known as the frontwoman for Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam. After the group disbanded in the early 90’s, Velez recorded her 1994 solo debut LL 77 for Pendulum Records. The album yielded modest hits with the R&B/hip-hop flavored lead single “Skip To My Lu” and its freestyle/dance follow-up “When I Fell In Love.”
Velez took a long break from recording where she focused on touring until resurfacing with 2009’s Life ‘N Love.
