He first started posting under the name DisplayMusic23, where he specialized in freestyles and fast rapping.

A track of his was once re-posted on Soundcloud by XXXTentacion in early 2017, which was his initial boost in popularity.

Later in that same year, Lil Droptop went viral on Twitter with “I Might Go Hit Me A Lick”, which gained millions of views.

More recently, he also gained popularity with a series of snitch songs entitled “Opp Pack Smoker”, which went viral across social media.
