Let’s Eat Grandma are a British duo from Norwich, Norfolk, composed of the singers and multi-intrumentalists Rosa Walton and Jenny Hollingworth. Best friends since the age of four and bandmates from the age of 13, Walton and Hollingworth create imaginative and original music that crosses the worlds of pure pop and progressive weirdness. They have described their sound as “experimental sludge pop”.
Regarding their unconventional band name, Rosa Walton said:
It’s a joke about punctuation and about comma placement. You can have “Let’s eat, grandma,” which means “Oh grandma, let’s go have dinner.” And then you take out the comma and it becomes “lets eat grandma.”
