Leslie Christopher Taylor was born December 27, 1948 in London, Kentucky, where he also grew up. The singer-songwriter was the contributing lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the band Exile from 1980-1989 and from 1995-2006. He has also had a solo career with songs such as “Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda Loved You”, which he co-wrote. He has written songs recorded by Janie Fricke, Travis Tritt and Shelby Lynne. Les recorded two albums in his solo career, That Old Desire and Blue Kentucky Wind. He also recorded a duet with Shelby Lynne, “The Very First Lasting Love,” which he co-wrote.
