Leonard Nimoy (March 26, 1931 – February 27, 2015) was a Jewish American actor, director, author, singer, and songwriter. He is best known for playing Spock in Star Trek.
Nimoy’s music career began with Dot Records in 1967. He was approached due to his work on Star Trek, and his first two albums featured songs sung from the perspective of Spock. In his last 3 albums, he sang folk songs and covers.
