Leo Rizzi (December 9, 1998), is a singer and songwriter. He was born in Ibiza, Illes Balears, but in 2003 his parents decided to travel to his father’s homeland, Uruguay, to build a new life there. Due to this cultural and social change at such a young age, Leo grew up being part of two very different cultures.
At the age of thirteen, he began to write his first songs with influences from the pop of the moment and from the Uruguayan and American pop-rock of his older sister’s generation, who inspired him to enter the world of music. He began to build his artistic identity thanks to the help of his parents who gave him a place to perform his songs at their PK2 restaurant in Punta Ballena.
At the age of fifteen his family decided to return to Spain. That’s the place where Leo begins to record his own songs. These songs are inspired by his concerns in the field of personal growth. Moved by facing the problems of adapting to his new life, Leo makes a trip to India, where he meets the producer who would help him record his first album as a composer and interpreter. Among his most notable songs we find: En tu Camino, Romper las cadenas and La vida es un cuadro.
In 2021, he plans to publish his most recent works and compile them into an album at the end of the year. In these new compositions, we will hear new references and styles that Leo has been in contact with during the past 2020.
