Lennie Niehaus (1929-2020) was a prolific jazz composer and alto saxophonist who was active in the West Coast jazz scene. In addition to his jazz efforts, he is best known for his association with Clint Eastwood, composing the scores for many of the director’s films until Eastwood turned to composing his own scores.
