League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game developed and published by Riot Games. The free-to-play game was inspired by the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne mod, Defense of the Ancients (DotA). Founded by Brandon “Ryze” Beck and Marc “Tryndamere” Merrill, the video game has evolved into one of the largest of all time.

In spite of being a gaming company, Riot Games' Music Team has amassed a solid foothold in the music industry, collaborating with artists such as Imagine Dragons and Zedd, and promoting their own artists based on characters in the video game, such as K/DA and Pentakill.
