Le Soldat Pony is an American singer/songwriter best known for making songs based around the television series “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.” His songs often cover a wide range of genres, from indietronica to contemporary folk, often evolving his sound over relatively short periods of time. He briefly collaborated with fellow musician And The Rainfall under the name Tecolotl.

Le Soldat Pony announced his retirement from music in late 2014, officially ending his career with the song “Rescuer” in early 2015. Le Soldat Pony has since shut down his main Youtube channel and Bandcamp. Fan archives have since been created to give access to much of the deleted material.

As of April 4th, 2020, Le Soldat Pony has begun uploading new content to the tumblr page soldatsings, starting with two songs, [Sister Moons] and [Waterbirds].
