Armenian music producer Lazzaro was born in Beirut, Lebanon, into the Lebanese-Armenian diaspora and began gravitating towards music at a very young age. As a child, all his toys were musical instruments. His father was a musician, so he grew up in a household surrounded by music. At the age of 7 he began taking piano lessons and later, as a teenager, he learned how to play the drums and the trumpet. It was his father who fueled Lazzaro’s desire to become a producer. He bought Lazzaro his first synthesizer which he used to start experimenting with different sounds. From that point, he became fascinated with sound experimentation and stretching the limits of traditional sound and instruments by using synthesizers, drum machines, and modern digital technology to be able to express himself in a manner which he felt was more true to his artistic character. Being drawn more to electronic music, Lazzaro decided to move to Stockholm, Sweden for two years to spend time studying electronic music production by being around one of the key global centers of the genre and work with some great local producers. He took his experience and returned to Armenia and started working immediately and collaborating with other music producers and some of the top pop singers and musical groups. Since returning three years ago, Lazzaro has become one of the most in-demand music producers and arrangers in Armenia.
