Lauren Spencer-Smith (b. September 28, 2003) is an English singer and songwriter. Born in England and raised in Canada, Lauren showed an aptitude for music at a young age, but found it hard to juggle this with school and her job she needed to help out her family. She would quit this job to pursue her music career when her cover of “Always Remember Us This Way” went viral in April of 2019.
In 2020, she was nominated for the Juno Award for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year, and performed on American Idol, becoming a top 20 finalist.
She later found fame on TikTok, which propelled her single “Fingers Crossed” onto the charts, and even lead to a label partnership.
