Lauren Mayberry is a Scottish singer, songwriter, musician, writer and journalist best known for being one-third of the Scottish synthpop band CHVRCHES. Prior to meeting Iain Cook and Martin Doherty in 2011, she was a member of the local Glasgow bands Boyfriend/Girlfriend and Blue Sky Archives.

In July 2023, Mayberry announced she would be embarking on a solo tour and releasing solo music for the first time. Her debut single “Are You Awake?” was released on September 1, 2023.
