Larry Eugene Carlton (born March 2, 1948) is an American guitarist from Torrance, California. Carlton is known for his work as a session musician for artists including Steely Dan and Joni Mitchell. He was also a member of the jazz-funk group The Crusaders and the smooth jazz group Fourplay. Carlton has recorded several solo albums throughout his career. He has also recorded collaboration albums with other artists including Terry McMillan, Robben Ford, and Steve Lukather.
